How can you go wrong with a hamburger? These will become a regular rotation at your house after seeing how quick and easy they can be made!
Ingredients
400g extra lean beef mince
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
4 hamburger buns
4 slices low-fat tasty cheese
1 medium tomato
½ iceberg lettuce
2 pickles
¼ red onion
¼ cup tomato sauce

Method
- Place the mince into a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Shape the mince into 4 evenly sized patties.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan to medium heat. Cook the patties for 3 minutes on one side. Flip the patties over and place the cheese slice on top. Continue to cook for 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Place hamburger buns on a grill panel or under the grill in the oven for 1 minute until just warmed.
- Finely slice the onion, tomatoes and pickles. Cut the lettuce until shredded.
- Place the bases of the buns onto 4 serving plates and top with lettuce, tomato and onion. Add the patties, pickles and tomato sauce. Top with the remaining half of the hamburger bun.
Notes:
- To make gluten free use gluten free hamburger buns or bread
- To make low fodmap use gluten free hamburger buns and leave out the onion
