Things you should know

For replacement policies requiring underwriting please use:

  • The PDS dated September 2021, for a new replacement policy outside super (including when exercising a Continuation option or Option to convert) i.e. Total Care Plan or an Income Care Range policy, or
  • The 011119 SPDS for a new replacement policy inside super, i.e. Total Care Plan Super or SMSF plan policy.

Important notes:

  • Please refer to your original PDS or Policy Document issued for any other changes to an existing policy requiring underwriting, where a replacement policy is not required.
  • If special conditions, exclusions or loadings apply to your policy, upgraded features and benefits may not be available to you.
  • Improved terms and conditions don’t apply in respect to any pre-existing conditions that existed at the time the improvement took place.
  • Only improvements apply to you (if applicable). If improvements apply to you we have either communicated these to you by letter or informed you via your anniversary letter and an update published on this webpage. If your policy started before 1 July 1997, policy improvements don’t apply to you unless we have indicated otherwise on this webpage. Please refer to the improvements we communicated to you (if applicable).
  • Policy upgrades only apply to policies starting on or after 1 July 1997 unless we have indicated otherwise on this webpage. For policies starting before that date, the upgrades don’t apply (unless we’ve indicated otherwise on this webpage), and you need only refer to the policy document we sent you when you took out the policy and any notices we’ve sent you since.
