Environmental, Social and Governance

We’re committed to reducing the impact of our operations on the environment and raising awareness about sustainability.

We are proud to be part of the AIA Group’s ESG strategy. ESG is fundamental to our purpose of making a difference in people’s lives, and supporting Australians to live healthier, longer, better lives.

AIA’s ESG strategy brings together a clear program of goals, commitments and actions to deliver long-term sustainable value for our customers, our partners and our communities.

It is built around five pillars: Health and Wellness, Sustainable Operations, Sustainable Investment, People and Culture and Effective Governance.

Health and Wellness

Engaging, inspiring and delivering better health outcomes, championing financial inclusion and expanding access to quality care, producing a wider positive impact on society.

Sustainable Operations

Reducing the environmental footprint of AIA’s operations as well as incorporating ESG factors into sourcing considerations.

Sustainable Investment

Delivering long-term value by allocating capital to companies that commit to sustainable outcomes and investing for the future.

People and Culture

Empowering our people to succeed through fostering a learning environment and a diverse, inclusive and supportive culture.

Effective Governance

Ensuring that AIA continues to operate to the highest standards of business practices.

Net Zero

The AIA Group is committed to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. AIA has also committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reduction targets in line with the latest climate science.

AIA Impact

AIA Australia is launching an exciting new corporate social responsibility program in 2022, called AIA Impact. This will bring together AIA senior leaders to work directly with leaders of not-for-profit organisations working on the prediction and prevention of chronic disease.
