Find out everything you need to know if your clients have a Cashback Flexi product

What’s happening?

In early April, Cashback Flexi clients will have received a letter, via post, informing them of a Significant Event update, that is being made to the terms and conditions of their Cashback Flexi policy.
 
The changes will be effective 2 May 2022. Clients will be provided with details (via a QR code and weblink) to download a copy of the Significant Event Notice via the AIA website.

What’s changing?

The Cashback Flexi PDS and Policy Document has been reviewed and updated effective 2 May 2022.
 
The updates made to the Cashback Flexi policy include: 
 
  • Updating selected medical definitions to ensure they:
    • continue to use relevant and practical diagnostic tests; and
    • improve the clarity and transparency of the definition.
  • Updated some of the general terms and conditions within the policy.
  • Requires AIA to act reasonably when:
    • AIA’s opinion is required to help satisfy eligibility for a claim benefit;
    • requesting the life insured to undergo medical examination by AIA’s medical practitioners or seek relevant medical examinations.
  • Updated AIA’s contact details & contact methods.
  • Reduced barriers to lodge a claim.
  • Updated information on how to lodge a complaint.
A copy of the Significant Event Notice provided to your client can be downloaded HERE.
 
No action is required from your client other than to read the details of the Significant Event Notice.
